This topic is very unique and I think maybe you all can try it out. There are two ways to use your 3G phone to access the Internet. First, using a Bluetooth phone and Blutooth Laptop or PC. Second, using a special USB cable for your phone to laptop / PC. However, here I will tell about the first just above the use of Bluetooth.

STEP 2 below may be different for each telco (Maxis, Celcom) and phone model, but at least you'll get some ideas on how to setup the 3G phone as a modem.

Step 1: 'On' Bluetooth on your phone. In your 3g phone, go to the Settings -> Menu -> Connections, and click the Bluetooth icon. Set the phone's hide the "Show to all". Next, call the phone in preference, the "Your Phone's Name".

Step 2: Setup Bluetooth on a laptop or PC. Click Start -> Control Panel -> Bluetooth Devices. Click Add ... Next will open Add Bluetooth Device Wizard. 2. Check "My device is set up and ready to be found" and click Next.

1. Go to Control Panel -> Network Connections, on the left panel, click Create a new connection. 2. You will see the New Connection Wizard window, click Next.

3. There are several options for the connection, please select Connect to the Internetdan click Next.

4. Then select "Set up my connection manually" DN click Next.

5. Select "Connect using a dial-up modem" and click Next.

6. In the Device Selection screen, select the Modem - Bluetooth DUN Modem (COM21), and click Next.

7. Enter your ISP name and click Next.

8. Enter your ISP phone number. In this case I use Maxis, * 99 #. Then, click Next.

9. For Connection Availability, tick Anyone DNA click Next.

10. Enter your username and password, and confirmkan password. Click Next.

11. Next, mark the "Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop, and finally click Finish. Congratulations you have just setup your 3G phone as laptop modem. Next you can use your internet as usual after the dial connection.
